Banoks Franchise

Established in 1995, Banoks (short for barbecue manok) gained popularity for its superbly marinated and barbecued chicken, which needless to say, has easily found its way into practically everyone’s dining table.

Banok is the brainchild of business partners Alex Montanes and Manuel “Bong” Villanueva. It now ranks among Davao’s home-grown restaurants that has become byword not just among the dwellers of this bustling city south of the Philippines; but among local and foreign tourists as well, whose travel to Mindanao is not complete without dropping by Banoks to savor its specialties. Banoks menu, which is predominantly “sinugba” (barbecued grilled meat or seafoods), “tinola” or “tinowa” (soup), and “kinilaw” (raw fish salad), area always a feast to the eyes and delight for the taste buds. Their SuTuKil (a combination platter of sugbang panga, tinola and kilaw with unlimited rice) is a crowd-drawer.

Sinugba, tinola, and kinilaw may be regular Filipino fares (and there’s a lot more Filipino favorites on the menu than just these three), but at Banoks, they are prepared and served with such meticulousness that one could swear they look and taste extra-ordinary. Banoks can truly claim their tagline: “Lami Diri!” (it’s delicious here!). And based on growing patronage and strong customer loyalty, Banoks is indeed always worth paying a visit.

The ever-growing popularity of the restaurant has already paved the way for the opening of several branches in Davao City. Alex and Bong want to bring the Banoks tradition of good taste everywhere and welcome franchisees from all over the country.
