In March, 1997, Jose G. Soliman gave his daughter, Bonnie Carissa Soliman, five hundred pesos (P500) so she could start selling BBQ in front of the Tarlac Plazuela. Armed with a grill borrowed from her sister-in-law, a secret BBQ recipe and lots of encouragement from her family, Bonnie opened her first BBQ stall in Tarlac. Eventually, her BBQs became a hit in Tarlac and no family celebration or office party was complete without her spicy sweet BBQs.
In 2005 Bonnies BBQ Grill opened in Tiendesitas Pasig City, to a stand up line of eager customers who have heard of the “masarap na BBQ” freshly grilled at the corner stall.
