Gerry had a particular fondness for good food; a passion he shared with his family and friends. And from an earnest penchant for drink and grilled food, he yearned for a venue where both may be enjoyed amidst an atmosphere that was fun, fresh and wholesome.
Thus, after rounding up friends and relatives for a particular business venture, Gerry’s Grill was born on February 14, 1997. Its slogan then was, “You’d rather be at Gerry’s.” Located along Tomas Morato corner Eugenio Lopez Avenue in Quezon City, Gerry’s Grill boasted of a menu packed with scrumptious food ranging from grilled seafood and Filipino favorites to exotic cuisine and tastefully prepared beer mates and pica-pica. Along with favorite beverages from non-alcoholic drinks to brews and mixed preparations, Quezon City residents enjoyed the food immensely.
The combination was more that perfect for the typical barkada get together. The place was so inviting and so unintimadating it began to attract the dining and family crowd. Gourmets and gourmands came with families, in groups of friends and colleagues, and a lot of couples; and whether male or female, some even went solo for a relaxing time at the bar.
With its tropical motif, extensive collection of music, accommodating service, affordable prices, delicious food and popular drinks, Gerry’s Grill spelled the equation for steady success and rapid expansion in the restaurant business.
True enough, by the same equation plus the inclusion of an air-conditioned non-smoking area, Gerry’s Grill Jupiter was opened on January 9, 1999. Barely two years from the birth of the original bar & restaurant, Makati residents and executives were captivated by the same good food and quality service conveniently located in Jupiter Street in Makati City.
After three years from its conception and just almost a year from the success of its Makati branch, Gerry’s Grill has tapped into yet another segment of its wide market. On November 27, 2000, the largest outlet has sprung out in the heart of the fast developing Libis Area in Quezon City.
Other outlets opened in Alabang Town Center, Glorietta Makati, Bicutan, SM Pampanga, Subic, Ayala Center Cebu, Lucena City, SM Baguio, Wavemall Macapagal Avenue, Greenhills, SM Batangas, Wavemall Marikina.
Still, the boundaries seem far and wide for Gerry’s Grill to spread the Gerry’s taste and we maintain the battle cry “You’d (still) rather be at Gerry’s”. Soon enough, Gerry’s Grill will truly be a household name among Filipinos at home and abroad.

STEPS TO A GERRY’S GRILL FRANCHISE

2) You will receive a Franchise Marketing Kit.
3) Fill up the Confidential Questionnaire and submit Letter of Intent
4) The Corporate Company of Gerry’s Grill will evaluate your Questionnaire.
5) You will be invited to discuss the Franchise details.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: To whom do you award Franchises?
A: To people with preferable a successful professional track record, not necessarily in the food business, with emphasis on people handling skills and management. Franchisee should be motivated to succeed and be outgoing persons with entrepreneurial spirit. It is important that Franchisee accepts the pros and cons of Franchising, those that desire total control are not suitable to be Franchisees.
Q: Do you require hands-on Management from the Franchisee?
A: Not required but preferred. Franchisee must hire professional Management Team, which will be trained by us.
Q: What are the advertisement fees?
A: 1% of gross sales for Local Store Marketing to be spent by you to promote GERRY’S GRILL within your territory. Pesos 350,000 for the Grand opening of the outlet and 3% for the National Advertisement Fund, when such is established.
Q: Will GERRY’S GRILL provide the site and construction of the building or outlet?
A: Each Franchisee is responsible for securing his own location. All potential sites must be submitted to GERRY’S GRILL Corporate office for approval. Construction or renovation is entirely at the expense of the Franchisee.
Q: If I lease a space, will you design the store layout?
A: Franchisee will be furnished with a floor plan, sketch and basic specification for a GERRY’S GRILL and architect of Franchisee is responsible for customizing the basic plan to the dimension of the proposed location under the supervision of GERRY’S GRILL in-house architect and approval by GERRY’S GRILL Corporate office.
Q: Is the Franchisee required to purchase all his equipment and supply needs from GERRY’S GRILL?
A: As a GERRY’S GRILL Franchisee, you are required to purchase from specific suppliers as stipulated in our Procurement Program.
Q: What pre-opening services do you offer?
A: Prior to and upon opening, GERRY’ GRILL representatives will assist you with hiring and training personnel, ordering equipment and inventory, and arranging the Store Opening.
Q: What about Training?
A: GERRY’S GRILL has spent a great deal of time and effort developing its product and system and accepts no compromise in quality or control. For this reason, we require Franchisee, Managers, cooks and service crew to complete our training program and demonstrate mastery of certain skills. The cost of training is included in the Franchise Fee. Allowances, transportation and lodging for Trainees are at the expense of Franchisee.

A: Our confidential Operations Manual details the GERRY’S GRILL system on every aspect of the daily operation.
