Hecky’s Lechon Foodcart Franchise

In 1996, Hector “Hecky” Tabuena put up Cagayan de Oro Lechon together with some of his cousins. The company was the first in the country to use lechon ovens full time. Cagayan de Oro Lechon catered only made-to-order and whole order deliveries.

Hecky’s Lechon offers Cebu-style Lechon, but is not exactly roasted the “Cebu way”.  Hecky’s Lechons are oven-baked.  We are the first to use LPG-based lechon ovens, making our lechon non-carcinogenic. Because our lechons are oven-baked, they are also less fat.  Our distinct lechon oven and secret roasting techniques ensure lechons that have considerably less fat, leaving the skin crispier, juicier and tastier even without any lechon sauce.  Hecky’s Lechons are also organic.  We only roast hand-picked native free range pigs that eat the best that nature has to offer, such as coconut meat and corn.

The Hecky’s Lechon customized ovens – invented by the late founder – uses gas and convection to cook their lechons. These gas-powered lechon ovens enable us to literally melt that fat away, and leave us with a lechon that is crispier, juicier, tastier and more importantly, less fat! Because of that, they came up with their slogan, “Oven Baked, Less Fat, Organic.”
