Nature’s Wonder Coconut Sugar and Honey is produce from coconut sap (toddy) obtained traditionally boiling freshly harvested sap until it evaporates and thickens then allowed to cool and become honey syrup or granular sugar.
Sap (toddy) is collected every three (3) hours and process immediately to maintain freshness and its good quality. It is minimally processes under controlled heat to avoid over cooked which affect the nutrients. Our coconut sugar is light brown in color and has pleasant sweetness with a distinct coconut aroma. This sugar is claimed to be rich in vitamins and minerals, 100 percent natural, and doesn’t contain additives, preservatives and artificial flavoring.
Chemical analysis shows it contains higher amount of nutrients compared to brown and refined cane sugar. It has higher amount of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, chlorine, magnesium, sulfur and micronutrients levels.
Coconut sugar and honey has low Glycemic Index (GI) of 35, it is good for everybody especially people with diabetes and overweight. It helping balance blood glucose & insulin levels and lowering LDL cholesterol level. This is beneficial for diabetics, hypoglycemics and dieters.
Like other sweetener, coconut sugar and honey can be used in coffee, tea. juice, cakes, pastries, and sauces or dressings.
