The business was inspired by a popular Dutch snack (Kroketten) she first tasted in 2000 while in the Netherlands. Being married to a fine Dutchman and Chemist, Dr. Bob Bosch, with whom she has two wonderful kids, she has learned to love the food.
Established in November 2007 by Sherwin and Beverly Aquino, Lugaw Queen used to be this small take-out counter located in San Pablc City which offers just plain lugaw for as low as P10 per serving.
With only P1,100 starting capital, enough to buy 12 pieces of eggs, 1 kilo of rice and 3 chairs in a four-square meter outlet, the couple took all the risks to put up a business which they can call their own. Considering the affordable ingredients of lugaw and the passion for cooking of Mrs. Aquino, ordinary lugaw was transformed into a delicious food experience.
