Ferino’s Bibingka Franchise

Ferino’s Bibingka is a family-owned business that started in 1938. It trades its root from a man of vision and industry Lolo Ceferino A. Francisco. Lolo Ferino or Koko as fondly called by his apo’s, was said to have discovered his own concoction of bibingka during the period of the Second World War where the Japanese invasion in the Philippines limited agricultural production to mostly basic commodities such as rice, sugar and egg.

From these ingredients and according to his good taste, he endeavored to make his own version of the Philippine rice cake – the bibingka galapong. His entreprenueral spirit and good tasting bibingka broght him from being a small time peanut vendor and musician to a restaurant owner in Tondo where politicians and artist alike frequented. Ferino’s had it’s famous outlets in Manila Hotel and Cubao in the Late 60’s and early 70’s and in SM malls in the 80’s and 90’s.
